Part 1 of the training is theory-based, and outlines the important principles of this ancient approach, introducing Ayurveda’s unique system of describing and classifying the various divisions of the body’s innate intelligence, called the 3 Doshas–Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Participants will have a basic understanding of when it is appropriate to administer specific panchakarma techniques; as well learn the traditional method of performing the ancient therapies of Panchakarma.
After completing Part 1, the participant will have an opportunity to participate in a fully hands-on experience of learning as we explore how to perform the following traditional therapies in a spa setting:
1. Abhyanga –full body oil massage
2. Shirodhara – oil therapy for the scalp and head
3. Marma therapy – activation of key energetic points on the body
4. Nasya and Netra basti – cleansing therapies for nose and eyes
Who this training is for
The training is open to anyone who wants to incorporate and promote wellness concepts and practices into their personal health care; the goal is to empower the participant with Ayurvedic approaches to prevention and wellness.
The therapies are ideal for anyone working in a Spa setting such as LMTs, estheticians, Energy workers, body workers, and even yoga teachers.
