Ileana Gonzalez is a Board Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner through National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA), and a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She has been practicing ayurveda professionally since founding Apurva Wellness LLC in 2011.
After working in IT Consulting for 12 years, Ileana had the opportunity to travel the world on a spiritual journey. Her travels took her to 6 countries and 3 continents, including very spiritual places like Bali, India and Nepal. While in India, she met internationally renowned ayurvedic teachers at Arsha Vidya Peetam Trust (AVP) in Coimbatore. There, she received traditional gurukula-style training in “Ayurvedic Nursing” and “Panchakarma and Nutrition”; in 2012 she pursued clinical studies in Pune with Dr. Vasant Lad, founder of The Ayurvedic Institute. She has been a yoga practitioner for over a decade, and her formal yoga training was done under Neva Ingalls (Inner Domain), completing the 200 hour "5 Elements Ayurveda & Yoga Fusion" Teacher Training in May 2020. Ileana is currently finishing up 300 hour Yoga Therapy training with Ganesh Mohan (Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda).
Ileana believes in the long term rewards of a healthy lifestyle, and is very much committed to empower her clients and students to spark their inner Divine wisdom with the wholistic tools of Ayurveda and Yoga. Her specialty is in Panchakarma, and she spent the first 9 years of her practices focusing on this modality of Ayurveda. However, lots of spiritual and energetic shifts came with Covid-19 and as of March 2020, Apurva Wellness is an online boutique offering numerous educational programs and courses designed to empower women tap in to their Divine inner wisdom.
Ileana is a foodie; her favorite hobby is exploring plant-based recipes and modifying them with her own touch. To her, cooking is the ultimate expression of sadhana, a chance to invoke Divine through the 6 rasas. She truly believes that the kitchen is a great place to start your commitment to long-term health. Her husband is the beneficiary of her crazy antics in the kitchen!
